Still raining. And so it goes. A venture out this morning with a shovel in the rain and 2 hours of digging was well worth this fun little rail at the park. Mini session with PEP and Bartlett, and I am sure i’ll be filming more on this thing if it stays. Got get it. Good.
And again. And again. Its too hot to venture very far from a beer store, so we’ve been staying local recently and skating East York Park alot. Its never very crowded and theres always someone fun to session with there. So 2 days of shralping and once again a montage is born. I know, I know, your saying “another EY montage?”. And here’s my answer. Fuck yes. And again, and again, and again.
And so it begins. After a decade worth of fighting for it, the east end of the city is finally getting its skatepark, and building is moving quickly. We had to be the first ones to skate it, and although not much is done yet, the forms are looking like theres gonna be some amazing stuff there. So 2 days worth of shooting and a montage was born. Just wait until its done. Too much. Unstoppable fun.
Go. Skateboard. This past sunday was international go skateboarding day, and Nicky Young headed downtown to film the Emerica “wild in the streets” jam. A few sessions went down, with the young rippers of this city destroying some classic downtown spots. Skaters include Lawrence Hong, Andrew Wenkstern, and Zack Ferguson. Enjoy the heat. Fire.
Anyone who was has a camera should utilize it. Because a frozen moment in time is incredible. A few in a row should be even more so. Take a look at these sequences and click the photo to enlarge. Go ahead. Stop time.
Say hey there. Summers here. With the fast approach of the blistering summer months in Toronto, the days get longer and the sun shines brighter. Considering the fact that we’ve all got our own lives going on, I’m pretty impressed by how much footage we’ve been able to accumulate recently. So part way into June and there’s enough for a montage of sorts. There’s alot of people in this one, so just keep your eyes open if you want to know names. Looking forward to what July has in store and wondering who is going to appear in the next one. Hope to see you there. Stay up.
Random clips from May built into a “Montage”, as the kids these days say. Featuring Butters, Andrew, Patrick Dysart, Max Bell, Nolan Waller, Joel Scullard, Cameron MacPhail, Blake McKay, and myself. See you in June. Enjoy.
David merks. Everything. I have no idea why it took so long for me to finally rep this, but damn does it need to be bigged up. David Sutherland is fire. In the most literal sense. Ever since i can remember, He has been writing and putting out linguistic gems. Starting at the lower level of putting out the first “underground” zine that ripped apart the bullshit of high school drama and politics, and steadily pushing through an east coast university career to develop one of the nicest blog’s you will ever be lucky enough to lay your eyes upon. The D-bag is crazy up to date with the most important and revelant happenings that occur in the day to day world of so called “hip-hop”. check it out at…..
So nice out. The hot summer winds are back and soon its going to be so hot that any movement at all will make you sweat. So get it well you can, before the toxins pour out from even the simple action of raising another glass of toxins to your mouth. Ahhhh summer. Good to see you again.
Another day. More photos. A few weekends ago the first EY park clean up of the year occurred, and I decided to hi-jack Nicky’s camera/new fish-eye and go on a shooting rampage with max. He got all of these tricks in about 15 minutes, and we were really happy with how well some of them turned out. So check back on the regular for more sequences, and be prepared for how dope shots from street sessions are gonna be! More. Photos.
