BURTON 2010 US OPEN

Friday, March 26th, 2010

I am lucky. The program that I was working for this season asked if I would like to come out to the 2010 US open and shoot a short piece about what it was like for them to be at the open, and I agreed in seconds. This gave me the chance to shoot a lot of other amazing events that were going on, such as the Black and Night rail jam and the Half pipe finals, the kind of things that even to see, let alone shoot is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most. On top of being one of the best snowboarding seasons of my life, I was able to get some amazing footage of the top professional riders of the day. Go ahead. Check it out.

A “HAMMER” MOMENT

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

13532_183548837296_509047296_2932296_3217839_nIts getting cold, so the warehouse is the place to go. A few of the Hammer skateshop homies have been rolling through, so some mellow footy was poached. If you watch closely you may even spot the elusive hammer alumni rider Blake McKay copping a trick or two before heading out to Calgary to begin a new life as a gun wielding redneck. Oh, and two good buddies are out with injuries (Zach with a broken femur and Max with torn ligaments in his ankle), so speedy healling to one and all. They’ll be back. All of em.

2:34 AT LAKESHORE PT.6

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

If you make 5 of something, doesn’t it just seem logical to make 5 more? Well I think yes. Sequels seem to be very “hot” these days, so here come the next 5 installments of the 2:34 series. Enjoy. Go skate Ashbridges now. NOW!

TALLY-HO HEY

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Bodies of water and rock in the northern reaches of Ontario are great. Getting away from the artificial madness of the city, even if its for a short 48 hour excursion, are best spent within these blissful retreats. Its a rare moment that I ever film at the cottage, but I had a camera, so what the hell. Drink a beer. Do something funny.

Worst Case Ontario #10

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

That’s it. Thats all. This is the last episode in this years snowboarding series, and i’m glad i won’t have to be editing footage with  snow in it for the next few months. All of these clips came from  the last 2 days on the hill with Matty G, O-dawg, Sam, and  myself. The summer is almost here, and I am forced to put away one board and step onto another. It was fun while it lasted. But hey, it always is. Until next winter. Adios.

Worst Case Ontario #9

Matty. G. As the season was winding down, some more rippers were emerging from the woodworks and coming out with us to shred. Lucky for us, Matty G was one of them. This dudes super fun to ride with, and is down for whatever when it comes to pretty much everything. Peep that ass crack style. Mad points. Bet you thats the new hot trend on the slopes next year right alongside neon and tight pants. Once again Sam and I were able to cop a clip or two, but Matty owned the day. Hopefully there will be more of this fun next year. Out west. POW WOW.

Worst Case Ontario #8

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

So much fun. Coupons. Todays installment of the series takes us to Lakeridge Resort, which actually has a pretty dope park. The highlight of the day was riding with O-Dawg, because after only being on a board for a handful of times, he was already starting to kill. I mean who does an A-frame for their first rail ever? Amazing. Sam and I also tagged along for a few tricks, but the day belonged to the Doggy. I can’t wait to see what he’s gonna be busting out next season. Straight Goods. Coupons.

Worst Case Ontario #7

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Ghetto. Camera. This season ended up being more of a series of camera test’s more than anything else. We kept taking out different cameras to see how they faired while flying down a snowy hill. This particular camera is an older 3 chip that has lot’s of problems with shaking and jarring movements. The footage didnt end up looking so hot, but hey, the riding was fun and thats all that matters. The first chunk of footage comes from Snow Valley resort with Max Bell, C-Murder, Alex Caulford, Sam Richardson, and myself. The second half was shot at Dagmar, and is just Sam and I. There you go. Check it out. Bang. Bang.

Worst Case Ontario #6

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Water. Filtration. The filtration plant at the east end of Toronto’s beach is a nice place to hill bomb in the summer, and doubles as a fun little make shift snowboard park during the winter. We built quite a few hits, including a little rail, a dumpster ledge, and a wallride that all ended up being pretty damn fun to mess around on. I suggest if you come to ride in Toronto at all you check this place out, cause it’s got all kinds of other stuff to hit, and i’m sure I’ll have built something there for all to enjoy. Good days. All of them.
