Happy holidays to all. Here’s a montage of some new warehouse footage for you to enjoy in this season of gluttony and greed. Eat, drink and enjoy your family and friends.
Its getting cold, so the warehouse is the place to go. A few of the Hammer skateshop homies have been rolling through, so some mellow footy was poached. If you watch closely you may even spot the elusive hammer alumni rider Blake McKay copping a trick or two before heading out to Calgary to begin a new life as a gun wielding redneck. Oh, and two good buddies are out with injuries (Zach with a broken femur and Max with torn ligaments in his ankle), so speedy healling to one and all. They’ll be back. All of em.
If you make 5 of something, doesn’t it just seem logical to make 5 more? Well I think yes. Sequels seem to be very “hot” these days, so here come the next 5 installments of the 2:34 series. Enjoy. Go skate Ashbridges now. NOW!
Bodies of water and rock in the northern reaches of Ontario are great. Getting away from the artificial madness of the city, even if its for a short 48 hour excursion, are best spent within these blissful retreats. Its a rare moment that I ever film at the cottage, but I had a camera, so what the hell. Drink a beer. Do something funny.
So nice out. The hot summer winds are back and soon its going to be so hot that any movement at all will make you sweat. So get it well you can, before the toxins pour out from even the simple action of raising another glass of toxins to your mouth. Ahhhh summer. Good to see you again.
Another week. Another park. This installment takes us to the far reaches of the “GTA”, to the recently built Brampton skatepark, more commonly known as “Ching”. Some strange twist of fate blessed us with the presence of Hammer alumni team rider Blake Mckay on this trip, and it was nice to see him back on a board. We were also lucky enough to be driven there by FRG’S own Max Bell, so you know there’s gonna be a couple super steeze tricks in here. I also tagged along and got 2 tricks, but I think I was there more so for filming and party favours than anything. The soundtrack is provided by none other than the incredible Rayhaan, who you can check out in the music section of the site. This park is amazing, so expect to see another montage or two coming out of there. Get up. Go see for yourself. Now.
Another Week. Getting warmer. This tech two takes us to downtown Toronto for a quick session on the classic CBC manual pad, and then back across town for another session on a few east side spots. Summer’s almost here. And rolling is more fun then walking, so get on it. Featuring Nolan Waller, Joel Scullard and Cameron McPhail. Oh so warm. Essential sun.
The Dirty. Shwa. We took a little trip along the 401 and ended up cruising into the pickering and Oshawa skateparks. Pickering park is in really rough, and the Oshawa park is amazing aside from the high numbers of looseball kids on bike’s and scooters. Sketch. But hey, at least they got their parks already. Wamp wamp.
Mon. Tage. For some reason it’s snowing right now, at the start of what most of us consider spring. Not really feeling it to tell you the truth. Getting outside again is nice and taking trips to a bunch of parks around the city and attempting to collect footage for little edits is super chill and fun. Good times for all I say. Good. Times.
East York. So much fun. This weeks mini montage takes us to the classic east york skatepark, for a little session with some of the local hoodlums. Appearances by the likes of Joel Scullard, Matty Mo, Chris Leal, Kyle Troll, Keaton Evans, and Nicky Young. Fun Times. Always.
