I am lucky. The program that I was working for this season asked if I would like to come out to the 2010 US open and shoot a short piece about what it was like for them to be at the open, and I agreed in seconds. This gave me the chance to shoot a lot of other amazing events that were going on, such as the Black and Night rail jam and the Half pipe finals, the kind of things that even to see, let alone shoot is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most. On top of being one of the best snowboarding seasons of my life, I was able to get some amazing footage of the top professional riders of the day. Go ahead. Check it out.
Been a while since we’ve had any photos up, so with Emma’s help that problem has been solved. This is just a sample of her work, which is incredible, so feel free to check out more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/24113591@N02/. Click click.
Happy holidays to all. Here’s a montage of some new warehouse footage for you to enjoy in this season of gluttony and greed. Eat, drink and enjoy your family and friends.
Its getting cold, so the warehouse is the place to go. A few of the Hammer skateshop homies have been rolling through, so some mellow footy was poached. If you watch closely you may even spot the elusive hammer alumni rider Blake McKay copping a trick or two before heading out to Calgary to begin a new life as a gun wielding redneck. Oh, and two good buddies are out with injuries (Zach with a broken femur and Max with torn ligaments in his ankle), so speedy healling to one and all. They’ll be back. All of em.
“Ladies and gentlemen, you made the right choice this evening.” The winter is right around the corner, but for all the skate footage fans, we have created a new weekly series of videos coming out of the secret warehouse. These are short edits made with anyone and everyone who are lucky enough to find themselves inside this hidden gem. So if you wanna get up in one, get at me!!!
If you make 5 of something, doesn’t it just seem logical to make 5 more? Well I think yes. Sequels seem to be very “hot” these days, so here come the next 5 installments of the 2:34 series. Enjoy. Go skate Ashbridges now. NOW!
Bodies of water and rock in the northern reaches of Ontario are great. Getting away from the artificial madness of the city, even if its for a short 48 hour excursion, are best spent within these blissful retreats. Its a rare moment that I ever film at the cottage, but I had a camera, so what the hell. Drink a beer. Do something funny.
