Been out skating the streets alot with homies before I had to start working again, and we were able to put together this little montage while subsequently filming for the Hammer video. This just makes me mad. While us Toronto folk are sweating are sacks off in 30+ degree weather under this shroud of pollution that surrounds the city, Our west coast companions in Nelson BC are getting to hike and ride Powder in the middle of June! In all seriousness I was amazed when my friend Adam Batthany sent me these clips on June 8th, of him hiking and riding a very late season snowfall at Whitewater Winter Resort just outside of Nelson. The camera got a little fogged up half way down from the extreme temp. differences, but overall this footage is pretty damn amazing. Sit back and watch this video all while keeping in mind it was filmed on June 7th. June Powder!
I rarely ever get the chance to be in front of the camera, so when me and Nathan went by 8th street last week I took full advantage of his willingness and got him to film a couple clips of me. This park is super fun for just cruising around, and even better in the middle of a weekday when you can charge with no one in your way. We both ended up getting a few clips here and there, and this is the result of that work. Enjoy!
Was skating down at the Cherry Beach athletic field the other morning, and my buddy Nathan started messing around with his Trombone while Nicky was trying to cop a trick. Ended up making him keep playing for about 50 tries or so, and even though we didn’t get a live soundtrack to the stomped one, I was still really hyped on how this footage ended up looking (even despite my crappy on camera mic!) Anyway enjoy some sweet tunes while you watch Nicky work through the process.
Another winter has come and gone and the skate season is back in full effect.
